This collection of eighteen works on paper depict imagery sourced from Sibrel’s archive of personal photos, screen grabs from social media, popular culture, and snippets of text derived from song lyrics and literature. These references, filtered and reconstructed by the artist’s psyche and hand, create diary-like documents exploring a full range of emotional responses to themes ranging from intimacy, manipulation, beauty, anxiety, memory, happiness, and identity.
