Emilia Olsen & Logan T. Sibrel:
Crying In Public
Auxier Kline is pleased to present the two person online presentation Emilia Olsen & Logan T. Sibrel: Crying In Public. The exhibition features a series of recent paintings and works on paper, created by the two Brooklyn-based artists that visually illustrate their individual psyches during an unprecedented year; rife with uncertainty, isolation, and change. Olsen and Sibrel draw inspiration from their personal relationships with music, poetry, media, and art history to create a shorthand or reference for the viewer as to what they were experiencing emotionally at the time of the work's conception. The culmination of these two bodies of work, with their diary-like quality, create an opportunity to make the intensely personal, universal.
Ten percent of the proceeds from Emilia Olsen and Logan T. Sibrel: Crying in Public will be donated to The Loveland Foundation, which provides financial assistance to Black women and girls nationally seeking therapy.
